Create & Unwind is your destination for Paint-Therapy Creative Events and Carta — our monthly Art by Mail subscription experience.
Forget formal art instruction. Here it's all about slowing down, taking a break, and creating with just enough guidance to make it relaxing. It's not a challenge, its a mini-vacation from other obligations.
Carta, is a mail subscription. In each delivery, once a month, you recieve a 5 x7 postcard, a 2.5 x 3.5 ACEO both to paint. There is also a reflection card to journal on, or save. We curate the Peerless Watercolors in present them in an easy to use palette.
Paint- Therapy is a paint party. We bring the supplies and you and your friends, colleagues, neighbors, or family enjoy a guided painting experience.

Create & Unwind is led by the whimsical Ann Krier, who believes art is the perfect way to bring people together. Currently serving the Triad area of North Carolina and relocating to Sussex County Delaware in November 2026, we offer a relaxed, judgment-free event for your creative adventures in your space or restaurant/ bar.

Paint Parties — We come to you! Groups of 6 or more. Book online and we bring everything: canvas, paint, brushes, aprons, and step-by-step guidance. Just bring your people and your enthusiasm. You provide tables, chairs, and the good vibes — we bring drop cloths for home parties.

Art Kits — Everything you need for a paint night at home, boxed up and ready to go. Acrylic paints, prepared canvas and brushes are included.

Carta — Our subscription. One peaceful creative hour delivered monthly. A watercolor experience designed for beginners, busy creatives, and anyone who misses making art. Original nature and travel sketches on premium paper, delivered to your mailbox to frame, paint, collect or mail.

Creative time is empowering. When life is hard - physically or mentally, spending time in a relaxing place, doodling, drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, or writing has been a refuge for me. I have taught myself to create art and write. Sewing and knitting were taught to me by my grandmothers and my mom.
I hope through this small business, that you are able to benefit not only from the social interaction that creating with others brings, but also from the healing benefits and sense of achievement you achieve by creating something of your own. It's time to step away from life's "requirements" and have a couple hours of fun.
This is not "formal" art instruction. I do not provide color theory, art history or any other educational curriculum - it is simply- create and enjoy the experience.
