What is Paint-Therapy?
Here at Create and Unwind, it is what we do best. We strive to create a warm, friendly, relaxing atmosphere that fosters fun, creativity and social time. "Paint - Therapy" is the time we spend together doing a project - the entire point is to disconnect from the other parts of life and bring some therapeutic creativity into your otherwise busy life. Disconnect and make something fun.
Public Paint Parties are open to the public - any one is welcome. They are advertised on local social media platforms. Venues may include restaurants, bars, and community venues. Typically include 15-20 guests. Visit the Events Page to learn about upcoming public Paint Parties.
Corporate Team Building: At your location. Projects are designed to foster a shared experience. This boosts interpersonal connections by as much as 30%. Doing something together helps employees to become more relatable, and like co-working spaces, supports well-being and a sense of belonging. Highly recommended by Work Design Magazine for better team work.
Regular Engagement: For senior living or other communities, we are happy to visit frequently- monthly or bi-monthly to help your residents enjoy their free time. Available weekdays or weekends as suits the community.
Private Paint Parties we bring the paint party (or other creative project) to your spot - home, business or institution. Each person would require a minimum of 18" of table space to be comfortable. We provide set-up, tools, art supplies, easels, table and floor coverings and guidance. Tables and seating is supplied by you. We will provide general clean up in order to remove our supplies. Aprons are provide for covering clothes. Minimum attendees is 6. Mileage charged beyond 20 miles.
Art Kits: A DIY, take home or ship to, project with all necessary tools and materials. If you'd prefer to guide your own party, you can purchase any number of art kits in any of the designs in the shop If you need something that you do not see, like a gigantic T-Rex having lunch with a rabbit - just let us know and we'll create something. (Please allow four weeks for custom designs.)
A few notes about service: All private events, including children's parties, require 1/2 down payment to reserve the time. To allow for preparation, cancellations are required 10 days in advance, prior to the reserved event. Cancellations after this time, will be provided with your choice of a 90-day full reschedule credit of the deposit amount. No cash deposits will be provided. Balance due on site at the close of event unless other arrangements have been made.
In the case of a cancelled or no-show guest, the host will be provided with the unused kit. For Public parties, the kit can be shipped to you or given to a friend.
